In-Person and Online Lessons

As we continue to consider the orders of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, lessons will be in person when possible, but with certain precautions taken due to COVID-19. If the situation worsens, lessons might have to be temporarily moved online. If for whatever reason you are uncomfortable with in-person lessons, you can also opt for lessons entirely online.

Physical Distancing

The music studio has been arranged with minimal furniture to allow for maximum space between students and teacher.

Mask Wearing

Everyone who enters the studio will be asked to wear a non-medical mask. If you forget your mask, you will not be able to proceed with your lesson.

Increased Cleaning

Door knobs, pencils, music stands and other high touch surfaces will be sanitized before and after each lesson.

Waiting Area

To minimize the number of people in the studio at one time, I would ask that parents drop off and pick up their child at their lesson time instead of waiting in the porch where there is very limited space.

Students and teachers will wash their hands before and after lessons.  Hand sanitizer will be provided.

Air Circulation

The studio window will be opened during lessons to improve air flow and quality.

Lesson Day Covid Screening

Out of an abundance of caution:  If you are sick, or someone in your household is sick, please stay home. We will have an online lesson for that week. Similarly, if anyone in my household is sick, lessons will be online. Everyone’s health and safety are top priority!

Due to lessons taking place in my home, a shared space with my family, I prefer to exercise an abundance of caution in order to provide as little risk possible to my family.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate our current situation!
